Cavaliers End Cyclones Playoff Run

Radnor, PA – The fourth-seeded Centenary men's lacrosse team closed out their season with an 18-2 loss to the No. 1 seed Cabrini College in this afternoon's Colonial States Athletic Conference Tournament.

Junior midfielder, Kenton Gottshall scored the pair of goals for the Cyclones as he opened the scoring in just under two minutes into the game for the 1-0 lead.

The Cavaliers would quickly respond netting six goals throughout the next 12 minutes for a 6-1 advantage.  Gottshall stopped the run with his second goal of the day with 1:39 remaining to make it 6-2.  With 11 seconds left, Cabrini managed to add two more goals before the end of the period for the 8-2 lead.

Cabrini tacked on two more goals in the second to head into the break with a 10-2 advantage.

After the break, the Cavaliers continued to dominate offense going 20-21 in face-offs while holding the Cyclones scoreless for the remaining two periods.  The Cavaliers netted eight more goals throughout the final two periods to advance to the CSAC Championship game for their 15th consecutive time.

Centenary goalie, Kevin Switzer made 18 stops in 45 minutes, while teammate Grant Nice tallied three saves.

Centenary ends their 2015 season with an overall record 5-10 and 4-3 in league play.

Earlier this week, six Cyclones earned CSAC End of Year Accolades.  For the second consecutive year, junior Kevin Switzer was named First Team All-CSAC, while
