HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The No. 18 Centenary University wrestling squad picked up a pair of wins on Saturday night inside the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center and ran its win streak to eight straight dual matches with the victories. The Cyclones earned a 27-6 win over Scranton University and followed that up with a 60-0 win over the College of Mount Saint Vincent.

Against Scranton, the Cyclones picked up wins in eight of the 10 weight classes.

Centenary got major decisions from Tyreek Staton at 125 pounds, Max Nauta at 141 pounds, Christopher Muce at 149 pounds and Jordan Juliano at 174 pounds.

For Muce, who is ranked 10th in his weight class by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) this week, it was his team leading fifth major decision of the year.

Also picking up wins for the Cyclones in the match were Alec Donovan at 165 pounds (9-3), Jeremy Nurnberger at 184 pounds (6-3), Etiini Udott at 197 pounds (11-7) and Nick Rivera at 285 pounds (6-0).

In the Mount Saint Vincent match, the Cyclones picked up wins by pin seven of the 10 weight classes. The Cyclones earned forfeit wins at 149 pounds, 184 pounds and 197 pounds.

Staton picked up his second win of the night at 125 pounds with a pin in 5:43. Nauta, who is ranked seventh in his weight class by the NWCA, earned his pin in 1:53. It was his second win of the night as well. Donovan took down his opponent in 1:38 at 165 pounds for his second win of the night. Juliano also picked up his second win of the night with a pin in 6:12 at 174 pounds.

Bobby Demeter earned his first win of the season, that did not come via forfeit at 133 pounds. Demeter pinned his opponent in 2:26. Also picking up pins for the Cyclones were Tom Hinz at 157 pounds in 1:34 and Anthony Colabella at 285 pounds in 1:01.

The Cyclones wrap up the regular season by hosting Hunter College on Friday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m.
